# Change or reset your password

> Change your password for security reasons, or reset it if you forget it, from My Profile or the password reset page.

You can change or reset your password for security reasons, or reset it if you forget it.

        Click your **profile icon** in the top-right corner, then select **My Profile**.

      <Step title="Go to Change Password">
        Scroll down to **Change password**.
      </Step>

      <Step title="Enter Your Passwords">
        Type your **Current Password** and **New password**.
      </Step>

      <Step title="Save the change">
        Click **Update password**.
      </Step>

    That's it. You've successfully updated your password!

      <Step title="Go to the reset page">
        Go to [presenter.ahaslides.com/pages/forgot-password](https://presenter.ahaslides.com/pages/forgot-password).
      </Step>

      <Step title="Enter your email address">
        Type in your email address using **only lowercase letters**. Capital letters might prevent the system from recognizing your address.
      </Step>

      <Step title="Request the reset">
        Click **Reset Password**.
      </Step>

      <Step title="Set your new password">
        Follow the instructions sent to your email to reset your password.
      </Step>

    ### Didn't receive the password reset email?

    If the reset email hasn't shown up after a few minutes, try the following before requesting another one:

    1. **Check your spam/junk folder** — the reset email is sometimes filtered there, especially on corporate or school email accounts.
    2. **Confirm you typed the right email, all in lowercase** — an email with capital letters, a typo, or the wrong address (e.g. a work alias instead of your sign-up email) won't match your account.
    3. **Wait a few minutes and check again** — delivery is occasionally delayed rather than lost.
    4. **Search your inbox for "AhaSlides"** rather than scrolling, in case it landed in a different folder or tab.

    If you've tried all of the above and still haven't received the email, email [hi@ahaslides.com](mailto:hi@ahaslides.com) so an agent can verify your account's email and resend the reset link.
