# Cancelling Your AhaSlides Subscription

> Turn off auto-renewal on your AhaSlides subscription. Monthly plans renew after 1 month, and Yearly plans renew after 1 year.

Find out how to turn off the auto-renewal of your subscription.

## How to cancel (turn off the auto-renewal of) your subscription

Monthly plans will **renew automatically after 1 month**, and Yearly plans will **renew automatically after 1 year**. We will send you a **reminder email 2 weeks before your subscription is renewed**.

You can **turn off auto-renewal anytime** on AhaSlides, by using:

### 1. The 'Cancel subscription' button on the [My Plan](https://presenter.ahaslides.com/apps/user-plan) page

After clicking the button, there will be 2 options that you can choose from:

1. **Get extra free month**: you can get **1 month** for Monthly plans or **2 months** for Yearly plans if you choose this option instead of cancelling your AhaSlides Subscription.
2. **Continue to cancel**: this will turn off the auto-renewal - you can of course still use AhaSlides until the end of the period you have paid for! With that in mind, you are free to make the renewal cancellation whenever you like.

### 2. The 'Cancel subscription' button on the 'Billing' page

To find this option, please click on your profile image and select **Billing**.

Or click the **Manage** button under the **Billing** section on the [My Plan](https://presenter.ahaslides.com/apps/user-plan) page.

Then, you will see the **'Cancel subscription'** button.

## What happens to my presentations when my account is downgraded?

All of the existing presentations and results will remain in your account if you cancel your subscription. You will still have access to the free account features but will no longer have access to the paid features.

  <Accordion title="Can I pause or freeze my subscription instead of cancelling?">
    There's no pause/freeze option. There are two ways to stop paying without losing anything:

    * **Cancel** (turn off auto-renewal) — keep full paid access until the current period ends, then the account drops to Free.
    * **Downgrade to Free now** — same effect, immediately.

    On the Free plan, you can still view your existing presentations and reports, and keep editing and presenting — but a presentation with more than 5 Quiz or 3 Poll-type slides can only be run live with up to 3 participants (enough to test, not to run the full event). Nothing is deleted; resubscribe anytime to unlock full paid-plan participant limits again.
