# Editing your presentation info

> Edit your AhaSlides presentation's name, description, thumbnail image, and categories from the Presentation info window in the editor.

The **Presentation info** window is where you edit the details of a presentation — its name, description, cover thumbnail, and categories. To open it, open the presentation in the editor, click the presentation name in the editor header to open its menu, then choose **Presentation info**.

The window contains four fields — **Name**, **Description**, **Thumbnail image**, and **Categories** — with **Cancel** and **Save** buttons at the bottom. Click **Save** to apply your changes, or **Cancel** to discard them.

## Name

The **Name** field sets your presentation's name. It accepts up to **100 characters**.

## Description

The **Description** field is a text area for a short summary of your presentation. It accepts up to **200 characters**. The description appears alongside your thumbnail when you [publish the presentation to the Template Library](/after-the-presentation/publishing-presentation-template-library) or [share a copy with other users](/after-the-presentation/sharing-a-copy-of-your-presentation-with-other-ahaslides-users).

## Thumbnail image

The **Thumbnail image** is your presentation's custom cover image. By default AhaSlides generates a thumbnail automatically, but you can upload your own instead.

1. In the **Thumbnail image** section, click **Add image** if no custom thumbnail is set yet. If one already exists, you will see the current image with **Change image** and **Remove** links instead.
2. Upload or select your image, then crop it to the **16:9** frame.
3. Click **Save** to apply the new thumbnail.

To go back to the automatically generated cover, click **Remove** in the **Thumbnail image** section. Your presentation reverts to the auto-generated thumbnail.

Your thumbnail (together with your description) appears when you [publish the presentation to the Template Library](/after-the-presentation/publishing-presentation-template-library) or [share a copy with other users](/after-the-presentation/sharing-a-copy-of-your-presentation-with-other-ahaslides-users), and as the cover image on your presentation cards in the [My Presentations dashboard](/getting-started/the-my-presentations-dashboard).

## Categories

The **Categories** field is a set of selectable category buttons used to categorise your presentation — for example, when you publish it to the [Template Library](/after-the-presentation/publishing-presentation-template-library). Select the buttons that best describe your presentation, then click **Save**.

<Note>
  The same **Name**, **Description**, **Thumbnail image**, and **Categories** fields are also reachable from the **Settings** panel in the editor, where they are saved with a **Save** button as well.
