Personality Test gives each participant ten quick statements on their phone and turns their answers into one of five personality types, based on the Big Five model. Your screen shows the mix of types in the room, and everyone gets a result card they can save and share. Nothing is scored and there is no leaderboard.

## Personality Test at a glance

| | |
| - | - |
| Type | Unscored |
| Find it | **New slide**, then search for **Personality Test** in the slide type picker |
| Statements | 10 ready-made statements; keep between 5 and 20 |
| Results | One of five types: The Explorer, The Achiever, The Spark, The Ally or The Anchor |
| Languages | Works in 39 languages |

## Create a Personality Test slide

**1. Add the slide**

In the editor, click **New slide**, type *Personality* in **Search slide types** and select **Personality Test**. The slide comes with ten statements ready to use, two for each trait.

**2. Write your question**

Type a title into **Your question**, for example *"What's your personality type?"*

**3. Edit the statements (optional)**

Under **Statements**, change the wording of any statement, up to 140 characters each, or click **Add statement** for more. Each statement has a **Trait** and an **Effect of agreeing**: **Higher on the trait** or **Lower on the trait**. For a balanced result, keep at least one statement for each trait and mix in a few that score the other way.

**4. Rename the answer choices (optional)**

Under **Answer scale**, rename **Disagree**, **Neutral** and **Agree**, up to 24 characters each. Leave one blank to keep its default. Renaming a choice never changes the scoring.

## Present a Personality Test slide

Click **Present** and share the access code. On their phones, participants answer each statement with **Disagree**, **Neutral** or **Agree**. Each tap moves on to the next statement, and **Back** returns to the previous one. After the last statement, they tap **Reveal my profile**.

Each answer moves the participant's score up or down a sliding scale for one of five traits: Openness to Experience, Conscientiousness, Extraversion, Agreeableness and Emotional Stability. Their strongest trait decides their type:

| Type | Strongest trait | What it says |
| - | - | - |
| The Explorer | Openness to Experience | You're drawn to what's new. You're first in the queue for an idea nobody's tried yet. |
| The Achiever | Conscientiousness | You get things done, and done properly. Future-you is always grateful. |
| The Spark | Extraversion | You bring the energy. A room warms up the moment you walk in. |
| The Ally | Agreeableness | You look out for people. You're warm, considerate and always in someone else's corner. |
| The Anchor | Emotional Stability | You stay calm through life's ups and downs. A steady presence when things get busy. |

The result screen shows the participant's type, a short description and the percentage of the room that shares their type. They can answer **Does this feel like you?** and tap **Save result image** for a card made for sharing.

Your screen shows a chart of each type's share of the whole room, and it updates as each result arrives.

## Personality Test settings

## Frequently asked questions

### Is Personality Test scored?

No. There are no right answers, no points and no leaderboard. Each participant gets a personality type, and your screen shows the mix of types in the room.

### What is the Big Five model?

The Big Five is a widely used model of personality. It describes people on five traits: Openness to Experience, Conscientiousness, Extraversion, Agreeableness and Emotional Stability. Personality Test measures each one and names a type after the strongest.

### What if a participant's answers don't point to one type?

If every trait comes out close to the middle, the participant sees **Too close to call** and can tap **Change my answers** or **Keep this result**. A kept result appears on your chart as **Too close to call**.

### Can I change the statements after people have answered?

No. The statements are locked while the slide has responses. To edit them, [reset the results](https://docs.ahaslides.com/after-the-presentation/resetting-the-results.md), which clears every response collected so far.

### Which languages does Personality Test work in?

Personality Test works in 39 languages. The participant screens, the chart and the result card follow your presentation's language.
