AhaSlides supports an Undo/Redo function that lets you easily reverse or reapply changes made while editing a slide. Whether you’ve added, updated, or deleted content, you can quickly undo or redo your actions with a single click — helping you work more confidently and efficiently.

Use undo and redo

You’ll see the Undo and Redo buttons at the top left of the slide editor. The Undo and Redo buttons at the top left of the AhaSlides slide editor toolbar Use these buttons or the standard keyboard shortcuts:
  • Undo: Ctrl + Z (Windows) / Cmd + Z (Mac)
  • Redo: Ctrl + Y (Windows) / Cmd + Shift + Z (Mac)

What you can undo and redo

You can undo or redo any modification (add, update, or delete) made to the elements of the active slide. The feature is currently available on the slide types below, with the supported elements listed for each. Undo also reverses deleting or duplicating whole slides in the slide list on the left of the AhaSlides editor.

Frequently asked questions

Yes, if you’re still in the same editing session. Click Undo or press Ctrl + Z (Windows) / Cmd + Z (Mac) to bring back slides you deleted from the slide list. Once you close or reload the AhaSlides editor, the undo history is cleared, and a deleted slide can’t be restored.
No. AhaSlides doesn’t keep a version history of a presentation. Undo and Redo only reverse changes you’ve made in the editor during your current session; they stop working once you close it. If you’ve deleted a presentation, you can bring it back from Trash. See How to recover a deleted presentation.
