The course report shows how many learners finished your course, where they stopped, and how each person got on. Use it to find the lessons that lose people and to follow up with individual learners.

Open the course report

In the course editor of a published course, click Report. The report has three tabs: Overview, By lesson and Learners. Click Export CSV to download the data.

What the Overview tab shows

The Overview tab summarises the whole course. Below the figures, a progress chart splits learners into Completed all and In progress, and Completion by lesson lists the lessons with the lowest completion first.

By lesson

The By lesson tab lists every lesson with its number of pages, its completion and the median time learners took. Click Show details on a row to open it.
  • Questions: each knowledge check shows how many learners answered it, the share who got it right and the average number of tries. Click Show who answered to see each learner’s answer and whether it was correct.
  • Pages within lessons: each page shows how many learners reached it and the drop-off, so you can spot the page where people stop.

Learners

The Learners tab lists everyone taking the course. Use Search learners to find one person. Each row shows their status (Completed or In progress), the lessons they have done out of the total, their progress, their score and when they were last active. Click Show answers to see their answers to each question, grouped by lesson.

Learner report

Click a learner to open their Learner report: a full activity record, not just their answers. Use Previous and Next to move through the other learners without closing it. Lessons appear in the order the learner did them. Time spent is recorded once a lesson is finished.

How scores are worked out

A learner’s score is the number of knowledge checks they answered correctly out of the checks they have answered so far. Checks they have not answered yet are not counted. A lesson with no knowledge checks shows No knowledge checks instead of a score. If you set a minimum correct-answer rate as a completion requirement, it is measured the same way.

Frequently asked questions

If you set completion requirements such as a minimum correct-answer rate or minimum learning time, a learner completes the course only when they meet all of them.
Open the learner in Manage. Their profile lists their details and the progress they have made in each assigned course.
