Joining by email domain is not yet available in every region. It will reach the rest later.
What you need to link an email domain
- You are a team Owner or Admin.
- Your team has an active paid team plan. This feature isn’t available on every plan; see Purchasing Multiple Licences for AhaSlides Team Plan Subscription to upgrade.
- Your own email is verified and sits on the domain you want to link. If your team uses single sign-on, you can also link the email domains set up for it. See Set up SSO and SCIM provisioning.
Link your company email domain
1
Open Team settings
Click your team name in the left-hand panel of the dashboard, then open the Team settings tab.
2
Find Team joining
Scroll to Team joining, then to the Company domain card.
3
Link the domain
Click Link my email domain, or the Link button that names your domain. The domain then shows a Linked badge.
company.com covers emails ending in @company.com, but not emails on a subdomain such as @team.company.com.
To unlink a domain, email hi@ahaslides.com. You can’t remove it in the app.
Turn join requests on or off
In the Company domain card, use the Let people from our domain request to join switch. When it’s off, nobody on your domain sees the Join the rest of your team banner. Your linked domain stays linked.Approve or decline join requests
Every Owner and Admin gets an email and an in-app notification when someone asks to join, and a reminder email if the request is still waiting after 3 days. Click the link in the email to open Join requests in Team settings with that request highlighted.1
Open Join requests
In Team settings, scroll to the Join requests card. Use the Pending, Approved, Declined and Expired filters to switch lists.
2
Check the request
Each request shows the person’s name, email, the date they asked and any note they added. Free licences shows how many licences you have left.
3
Approve or decline
Click Approve to add the person to your team with a licence, or Decline. Either way, they get an email.
When an approval doesn’t go through
If an approval fails, the request stays in Pending and you can try again.
For licence steps, see Managing your Team Members.
